Despite his hectic 24/7 promotional whirl for his recently released Mayakkam Enna, Selvaraghavan will be quickly moving on to his next, "Irandam Ulagam".

A bilingual in Tamil and Telugu, the movie has Arya and Anushka Shetty in the lead. According to some sources the film is a fantasy period film along the lines of "Gladiator" and "Maghadeera".

A joyful Selva remarks, “Irandam" is a challenging script. It’s an intriguing genre which has everything — love, adventure, action, period backdrop and special effects”. Anushka, he says, “is a very good performer. I blocked her dates long back. As for Arya, he suits the role a hundred per cent!”

The best part is that a 120 page final draft of the script has been given to all the ADs and the cinematographer as well as the cast, an indication of the thoroughness of Selva’s planning as well as a pointer to the fact that the movie will be completed on time.
