Director Selvaraghavan was supposed to make a bilingual period film set in backdrops of 5th century. The film was to have Rana Daggubati in lead role and his father-producer Suresh Babu didn't accept to produce the film as the budget was too high and it was an experimental project.

Later Rana started shooting for Puri Jaganath's 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi' and now as the filming is close on the heels of completion, Selva has approached Rana again. This time, he has narrated a simple and breezy love story that will have moderate budget involved in it. The producer-father Suresh has given green signal and the film will start rolling once Rana completes NNR.
