28th August 2014

The don of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, has joined hands with Interpol to promote awarness in preventing crime. The Superstar is now the brand ambassador for their latest campaign.

"Honoured to be the Ambassador for Turn Back Crime, the Interpol initiative. Thanx Mr. Noble for the opportunity," SRK posted on his micro blogging page.

The actor also posted a picture with an interpol officer and wrote, "Don on the right side of Interpol. How ironically cool is that…ha ha."

Interpol's Turn Back Crime campaign aims to improve public awareness on the fact that organized crime such as drugs trafficking, people smuggling, counterfeiting, cybercrime, kidnapping, crimes against children and corruption in sport are in fact often interconnected where profits from one area is used to fund another.

"It's a very special honour to be a part of Interpol's Turn Back Crime Campaign as an ambassador...I believe we can, we should, and we must stand together against the few who commit crimes against any human being, in whatever form or guise these crimes might take," SRK was quoted as saying in an Interpol press release issued from its headquarters in Lyon.
