Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty was recently involved in road rage as the incident took place yesterday, near Viviana Mall Thane, when a motorist, who was accompanied by two of his friends rammed his car into Shetty's vehicle. Fortunately no injuries was reported at the accident spot.

A detailed report available in the media domain stated, "The police have registered a case against the three yet-to-be-identified persons, whose vehicle details have been provided by Shetty's driver, Darshan Sawant, in his complaint at the Rabodi police station. An officer said Shetty was in Thane for some personal work and the incident took place around 1.30pm. When Sawant stopped the car to inspect the damage, the three accused in other vehicle too alighted and reportedly picked up a fight. Sawant said that the trio slapped and threatened him."

A leading daily reported further suggests that Shamita Shetty's case has been registered under sections 279, 323, 504, 506 , 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal code. "An offence has been registered against the trio who are yet to be arrested, the police said adding that the car involved in the accident has been identified," the report states.

Shamita is currently seen in Rohit Shetty hosted TV reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 9' for which she shot last year in Argentina. The 39-year-old made her debut in Mohabbatein (2000) in which she was paired opposite Uday Chopra.
