Actor Sharman Joshi has been signed for the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next. Sharman will star opposite Patralekha in a romantic drama produced by Bhansali's banner.

A source says,"Sharman fits the role to a T and Bhansali was sure of the casting. Bhansali and Sharman go back a long way. Bhansali loves Sharman's work. They had a three-hour-long meeting and the topic of conversation soon veered towards Sharman's earlier films."

Initially the film was supposed to start in January 2015, but now will go on floor on Bhansali's birthday on February 24.
