Shashi Kapoor whose acts in memorable films like 'Deewaar', 'Trishul' and 'Kabhi Kabhie' are still mesmerized, will be conferred with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution to Indian Cinema.

Shashi Kapoor's nephew Rishi Kapoor was elated at the news and he tweeted, "Third Padma Bhushan and third Phalke award in the family. Prithviraj Kapoor and Raj Kapoor being the other recipients."  

Looking back, Shashi Kapoor began his acting debut as a child in the late 1940s and his best performance as a child artist were in 'Aag' and 'Awara'.
