Shirish gets Salman's 'Kick'

13th June 2012

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's tryst with South Indian remakes have proved quite successful.

Be it 'Wanted', 'Ready' or 'Bodyguard', each Hindi remake of  the South Indian blockbuster has spelled success for the in-demand superstar, and he is in no rush to get away from the trend as yet.

It is a known fact that Sajid Nadiadwala had bought the rights of the South Indian hit 'Kick' that was to be remade in Hindi with Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in lead. But citing Salman's mega projects, the film never saw the light of the day.

However, now that Salman has completed major portions of his upcoming films like 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Dabangg 2', he has been giving the impending 'Kick' the much needed attention. And apparently he has Shirish Kunder in mind to helm the film.

Though the film was confirmed way back, the director to direct it was not finalized. So Salman recently offered his dear friend Shirish Kunder to direct the film in his style.

Shirish, who from his end has vouched to concentrate more on direction is also happy to bag the offer and claims that the work on the film will start soon.
