Siddharth starts shooting for Midnight's Children

South Indian sensation Siddharth Narayan who started his Bollywood career with Aamir Khan's 'Rang De Basanti' and has been ruling many hearts by then has just started shooting for Deepa Mehta's 'Midnight's Children'. 'Midnight's Children' is a 1981 Salman Rushdie novel with the backdrop of Indian Independence. Salman has co-written the screenplay for Deepa Mehta's adaptation of the book. The film's starcast includes talented names like Shabana Azmi, Irrfan Khan, Nandita Das, Seema Biswas and Shahana Goswami. After Kangana Ranaut opted out of the project citing date issues Soha Ali Khan and Shriya Saran made it to the cast. Rushdie is taking immense pains to leave no stones unturned for this film and personally takes care of the minutes of details. Siddharth too is pretty excited to work with the internationally acclaimed director Deepa Mehta and is all geared up to give his best performance by far. Siddharth posted on his Twitter page on 10th of January, 2011, “Have to be up in 3 hours to fly out to start a new chapter in my career. I become one of 'midnights children' when I wake up!” The film sure will mark the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
