(Cover) - EN Movies - Simon Pegg has revealed Sigourney Weaver is "totally committed to having fun" on set.
The British actor-and-director is best known for his starring roles in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and the 2009 Star Trek film.
The 41-year-old star's major work has been in collaboration with Nick Frost and the pair co-wrote and starred in the recent science fiction comedy film Paul.
Sigourney Weaver was cast as The Big Guy in the movie, and Simon says the actress was a joy to work with.
"She's amazing. Such a team player, and she threw herself into it wholeheartedly, and didn't bring any airs or graces, just totally committed to having fun," he gushed in SciFi Now.
Simon is a big fan of the Alien film series, which Sigourney starred in as Ellen Ripley. He insists the 61-year-old American actress lived up to her reputation as being a very personable character.
"We love her it was a joy that she was exactly who we hoped she was," he added.
Nick agreed with the sentiment. The 39-year-old regularly takes time out of his schedule to watch the popular cult Alien films, so working alongside Sigourney on Paul was an achievement.
"I'd been away somewhere recently we just came back from the Australian tour of the Paul press leg, I think, and so I had four days of just laying down and watching movies, and I watched the Alien... Quadrilogy?" he quipped. (C) Cover Media
