While the upcoming Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das starrer '31st October' throws light on the assassination of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, the film has now landed itself into legal trouble. A PIL has been filed against the film claiming that a look-alike of the unnamed political figure has been "painted in a bad light". Besides this the petitioner also wants some scenes to be removed from the film as they are 'offensive.'
However, the Delhi High Court rejected the plea claiming that the petitioner must have first approached the CBFC board before approaching the court.
The petitioner withdrew his petition and said that he will approach the court again. Film's release is also pushed ahead to October 21, 2016 now.
