Apart from doing commercial films,
Sonakshi Sinha has also experimented with a serious role in her film
'Lootera' which gained her a lot of critical acclaim. And considering the same, the actress was offered
Subhash Ghai's film to be helmed by ad-filmmaker Ishwar Singh Muchhal. The film is based on the life of Indian Citizen Sarabjit who died in a Pakistani Jail after being in prison for 22 years.
Sonakshi was offered the role of Sarabjit Singh's sister Dalbir Kaur.
Apparently, Sonakshi was not too happy with her role in the film and hence turned down the offer politely.
However, her decision to shun the film was also aided by the fact that both
Amitabh Bachchan and her father
Shatrughan Sinha, who were offered the role to play a lawyer in the film, turned down the offers.
The fact that no big star has been signed for the cast as yet, also made Sonakshi walk away from the film.
