Reports suggest that Sonam Kapoor is about to essay the lead in a movie adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's novel, 'The Zoya Factor' opposite the dashing, Dulquer Salman. Sonam is currently busy with the promotions for her upcoming film 'PadMan'.
According to a nearby source, the rights of this novel are been bagged by Aarti and Pooja Shetty and Abhishek Sharma will direct it. Another source close to the project revealed, "It's an interesting character and Dulquer has liked the script. While he has committed to the project, he is yet to sign on the dotted line." If the news is true, then this film will mark Dulquer's second film in Bollywood, first being 'Karwan', which also stars Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar and is expected to release later this year. The film is expected to go on floors in summer 2018.
The film which will be an adaptation of the above-mentioned novel will reportedly be directed by Abhishek Sharma. It is the story of a Rajput girl named Zoya Singh Solanki, who meets the Indian Cricket Team through her job as an executive in an advertising agency and ends up becoming a lucky charm for the team for the 2010 Cricket World Cup.
While Sonam also wrapped up the shoot for 'Veere Di Wedding' which is about the wedding chaos of four friends.
