Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor tied the knot on May 8, 2018. From there onwards, Sonam changed her name to Sonam K Ahuja and following her, Anand Ahuja also changed his name on his social media account. Sonam changed her name from all her social media account into Sonam K Ahuja. While her husband changed his name to 'Anand S Ahuja' on all of his social media platform. This couldn't resist Sonam expressing her opinion towards the act and Sonam shared Anand Ahuja's Instagram screenshot and uploaded on her Instagram story and wrote 'This is why he's the man'. That's such an adorable gesture shared by the duo and Internet is going gaga over it.

About changing her surname on social media platforms, Sonam said, "I've always maintained that I'm a feminist. I have a choice to change my name when I want to do it. The fact is that Kapoor is also my father's surname. So, I chose to keep both. And just to be a part of our family, Anand has also changed his name. But nobody wrote about that! My husband or his family has not asked me to do anything. Likewise, he did it on his own. We anyway take our father's names, so if we can give that respect to them, we can give the same respect to our husbands, too. It’s my personal choice and somebody judging me for it is ridiculous."
