After completing the major portions of his film in the scenic beauty of London, Bollywood's acclaimed filmmaker Yash Chopra was scouting for a perfect destination to shoot for the climax of his comeback directorial-yet-untitled film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

While Yash Chopra is known for his love for snow covered hills that draws him towards Switzerland and Kashmir, it was assumed that after shooting in London he might head to his favorite Indian destination Kashmir. But Shah Rukh's suggestion made him change his mind. 

Shah Rukh proposed that they can shoot for the climax in Ladakh. Considering the fact that SRK is quite close to Yash Chopra, the latter gave a keen thought to his suggestion. And after pondering over it for long, he finalized Ladakh as the venue for the final schedule.
