(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sylvester Stallone says there is "no question" that he was "alpha territorial" about working with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The famed action hero stars have worked together on The Expendables and its subsequent sequel. They are also starring alongside each other in The Tomb, and Sylvester has discussed their initial difficulties when teaming up.
"We're just a couple of old war horses talking about the oddest subjects on the planet. I think in the beginning we were competitive - there's no question about it. A little alpha territorial. And then we realised it was good for our careers [to work together]," he admitted in an interview with ET Online.
Arnold has also enjoyed a career in politics, becoming the 38th Governor of California in 2003. The former body builder says that a partnership with Sylvester was more feasible when he focused on his acting projects.
"The funny thing is we have tried, I think, our entire careers to always work together," he revealed.
"We have talked about it for three decades and it never happened. I think we tried maybe too hard But now after the governorship, somehow this just fell into place." (C) Cover Media
