Sylvester Stallone coping with son's death

14th August 2012

Sylvester Stallone is finding it "tough" to cope following the death of his son.

Sage, 36, was found dead at his Los Angeles home on July 13. Sylvester has now opened up about how he is dealing with the devastating loss.

"It's tough. It's very, very tough but if you have good friends and family support [you can get through it]," he told TV show Good Morning America. "It's a horrible situation but time hopefully will heal. It's a reality of life."

The 66-year-old actor is currently promoting his new movie The Expendables 2. His co-stars including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Dolph Lundgren have offered Sylvester a great deal of support.

Sylvester has been doing his best to carry on with his daily tasks while mourning Sage.

"It's important to get back and try to start reliving your life or you can go into a spiral," he explained.

Sage was laid to rest at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Los Angeles last month.

An autopsy has been carried out on Sage's body, with toxicology tests due back in a few weeks.
