(Cover) - EN Showbiz - The Strokes insist they are stronger than ever.
The American rock band formed in 1998 and comprises musicians Julian Casablancas, Nick Valensi, Albert Hammond Jr., Nikolai Fraiture, and Fabrizio Moretti.
Angles is the bands first album since 2006 and is due for release next month. The band members went off to work on different projects for five years and have recently reformed to release their latest LP.
They insist time apart has made them stronger, and are proud of how strong their friendships and working relationships are.
I honestly dont care if people think we have troubles. We all get along great. Our friendships are more stable, said lead vocalist Julian.
Although bass guitarist Nikolai admits that relations got pretty dire at one point during the last five years, the rest of the band claim their disputes were just a matter of circumstances they had to navigate through.
Julian, 32, explained that once the record has been released, the band hope to get on even better.
Im not saying all the problems were musical, but I think thats where it all starts, where it stems from. Once the record is out, I think there will be a huge tension relieved, the singer told NME. (C) Cover Media
