(Cover) - EN Star Style - Ashlee Simpson Wentzs new grown up hair style has been praised.

The singer-and-actress has sported flowing locks in a variety of shades, including red and brown, over recent years. However, over the weekend her husband Pete Wentz posted a picture of her on social networking website Twitter in which she debuted a bleached blonde crop. Ashlee was seen playing with the couples 22-month-old son Bronx, with her long fringe swept away from her face.

Ashlees decision to chop her locks has got done well with industry professionals, with many agreeing the look suits her. This is a grown up look for her, said New York stylist James Viddes, who has worked with star including Kate Winslet and Natalie Portman. The long, side swept bang frames her face really nicely. The length is fresh and easy to manage, especially important when you're a busy mother.

The 26-year-old is naturally fair-haired, and it is a look which suits her well. Colourist Nikki Ferrara, who works with James at the Sally Hershberger Downtown salon, has praised Ashlees new shade, saying it is perfect for her skin tone.

The dark brown was a bit too harsh on her fair skin, Nikki told Us Magazine. Blonde is more complimentary. (C) Cover Media
