Selena Gomez to auction gown

15th October 2010

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Selena Gomez is set to auction off the beautiful dress she wore in the video for A Year Without Rain.

The 18-year-old Disney star is an ambassador for the global collective UNICEF, which improves living conditions for underprivileged children, and is passionate about using her celebrity to help the disadvantaged.

To help raise money for the organisation, Selena will sell the grey chiffon Catherine Dean robe she donned in the hit video which received so much praise.

Its a beautiful dress, she told People. It was obviously a very important part of the video - we wanted it to be very beautiful and very flowy and I got so many great comments on it so I thought it would be awesome to give it to charity.

Fashionistas hoping to recreate beautiful Selenas elegant look can bid on the dress via the website Charitybuzz, where it will be on sale until November 10.

Selena sincerely hopes the dress sale makes plenty of money for the charity as she feels very strongly about childrens rights. As much as she loved the robe, the star was happy to part with it for such a worthwhile cause.

To be able to see what they do with what they have done - its amazing and its really inspiring, she beamed. (C) Cover Media
