September 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Subrat Dutta has won a lot of accolades for his latest performance in "Antim Swash Sundor", but overall the film did not do that well. When asked about the overall experience, Dutta said that he loved working with veteran actors like Indrani Halder, Paran Bandhopadhyay and Kunal Padhy. Moving forward Dutta analyzes the reason behind the movie's bombing at the box-office, he says that sometimes a script has some great dialogues but somehow the moment does not get captured on camera.
Dutta has worked with major production houses in Bollywood as well and he thinks that there is no budget constraint in Bollywood. Subrat maintains that Bengali Film Industry is not as competitive as Bollywood. Dutta also reveals that Bengali film industry lacks the professionalism that is a part of the Bollywood culture.
He thinks that the Bengali Film industry is slowly coming of age and with some of the new movies it has even managed to break the dogma of the regional film industry as well. The actor thinks that Bengali film-makers have made the right choice by pursuing originality. The actor feels that there is no substitute for hard work. We hope Bengali film makers take his advice and do something about getting the limping industry back on its feet.
