Sunny targetting Salman's Eid day too

23rd February 2013

A very auspicious day for all the Muslim devotees, Eid sure brings in a lot of good luck to all and especially to actor Salman Khan. His movies like 'Dabangg', 'Bodyguard' and 'Ek Tha Tiger' have done very well at the box-office after releasing on this day.

Earlier it was heard that Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty were eyeing the day to release their upcoming film 'Chennai Express' (read news) and now it is heard that Sunny Deol's next might release on the same day too.

Sunny's upcoming film 'Singh Saheb the Great' is shaping up very well. The drama and action added together in the film has turned out great and hence the makers feel Eid would be just the right date for the release.

In regards to the same Sunny says, "The film is based on a common man's life and Eid is one of those holidays when the aam aadmi is in a much happier space. Since the significance of this festival is also interpreted as a good time to bring people together in harmony and gratitude, we are aiming for an Eid release."

When asked about being scared of tough competition on the festive day Sunny adds, "The cinema business has changed. Since there are so many cinema halls, two big films can release at the same time. I am sure no one wants to take over anyone's business."

It was also heard that Ekta Kapoor's film 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2' is definitely releasing on the big day as well.
