Ver few people know about the fact that actor Sushant Singh Rajput was pursuing a career in mechanical engineering before changing his career option and venturing into acting.

Sushant started his career with theatre but what got him in the spotlight is his roles in films like 'Kai Po Che' 'Shuddh Desi Romance' and 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy'.

The talented actor who is picking up pace briskly in the bollywood industry, has been invited by the USC School of Dramatic Arts, Los Angeles, USA to reveal the reason what led him to change his career from engineering to acting.

A source close to the actor says, "The representatives of the institute feel that Sushant has successfully changed his professional trajectory, from engineering to acting, and has dabbled in different mediums — theatre, TV and films. They are convinced that he is the right person for this job."

Sushant who will next be seen in legendary cricketer M.S. Dhoni's biopic, will leave for the US on August 22 to be part of the three-day conference.
