Taapsee overwhelmed by David Dhawan's compliments

4th February 2015

Though Taapsee Pannu made her Bollywood debut with David Dhawan's romantic-comedy film 'Chasme Baddoor', the actress chose not to sign each and every film that came her way as she wanted to do something different.

Her patience earned her brownie points as her recently released 'Baby' not only got her commercial success but also got her rave reviews. However, the best compliment she got was from David Dhawan, whom she also considers as a mentor.

She was stunned when David personally called her to compliment her on her performance in the film.

"David sir will always be special to me, no matter how many movies I do. I have always admired his work. His call was totally unexpected. For him to sit through a movie that's very different from the genre he is associated with means a lot to me," she says.

She adds that he gave her reviews on each aspect of her role. "He spoke about my dialogue delivery, body language, fight sequences and my overall transformation as an actor from my first film," adds Taapsee, who hopes to work with him again.
