(Cover) - EN Movies - Taylor Lautner has recalled his most difficult scene in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.
The actor is famed for his role as werewolf Jacob Black in hugely successful The Twilight Saga, alongside Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
In the upcoming installment of Twilight, which is due for release later this year, Taylor's character Jacob is involved in a fantasy storyline, which sees his character finding his soulmate in the body of a newborn baby.
Kristen's character Bella almost dies during birth, but her and Robert's vampire character Edward Cullen welcome daughter, Renesmee.
Taylor says the unconventional birthing scene required CGI, so he wasn't able to interact with another person while he "imprinted" on the newborn baby. The act is an involuntary mechanism by which shape-shifters and werewolves find their soulmates.
"I was given an X on a wall," he explained in an interview with MTV. "I don't know what I would have wanted [instead]; there isn't any ideal situation here."
Taylor's character initially plans on murdering the child that nearly killed his best friend and former love Bella, but his mind is quickly changed when he sees the baby for the first time. He imprints on the newborn and discovers that she is the person he will love for the rest of his life.
Taylor, 19, says the fantasy theme of imprinting was hard to enact, and hopes that the scene is believable when it hits the big screen.
"I had to walk into the room with the intention of killing this baby and then stop, twist and imprint on it, whatever that means," he explained.
"I spent a lot of time talking to [director] Bill [Condon] and to [author] Stephenie [Meyer] and asking, 'What exactly does imprinting even look like?!' "It was tough, so I sure hope it comes across alright." (C) Cover Media
