(Cover) - EN Star Style - Teri Hatcher was in denial about a haircut she gave herself for 24 hours, before finally begging her stylist to fix it.

The actress recently debuted a new style, with her brunette locks cut into a layered effect around her face. She also has a sweeping fringe, but the star has revealed the new look came about in the most unusual of ways.

Teri hurt her shoulder recently, and has been in such pain she has been struggling to sleep. In her weary state, the 45-year-old began to think she was looking dowdy, so decided to spruce up her appearance.

'It was about 9.30 in the morning, and I was looking in the bathroom mirror and I thought, "Bangs.... I think that would be a good idea. I took a pair of scissors and just hacked it off, she told American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. And it's bad, then there's a point where you go, Wow, there's really no going back at this point. I was in denial for about a day, and then I called my hairdresser.

The star is now happy with her look, and thinks she will keep it for the foreseeable future.

Teri isnt the only star to discuss an image change on American TV this week. Rapper Kanye West unveiled his new look on Ellen DeGeneres programme, revealing he has replaced his bottom set of teeth with diamonds.

I just thought that diamonds were cooler, he explained. It's really my real teeth. I replaced my bottom row of teeth. I guess there's just certain things that rock stars are supposed to do. (C) Cover Media
