Terrence Howard: I never threatened to kill my wife

7th December 2011

Terrence Howard has denied threatening to kill his estranged wife.

The Hollywood actor has refuted Michelle's allegations that he constantly beat her and terrorised her.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, Michelle claims that the Iron Man star began assaulting her just seven days after they tied the knot in January 2010.

Michelle alleges that Terrence "slugged me across my face and neck" and threatened to throw her off of a balcony.

She compiled a list of heinous acts that she claims he did against her including, "smacking her in the face and chipping her tooth with his wedding ring" and "throwing her down to the ground in a parking lot."

"If you tell anyone about my personal business, I will kill you and no one will ever know," it is claimed the actor said in the legal filings.

Terrence has countered with his own court documents denying that he ever threatened Michelle.

He claims that Michelle threatened to "release private materials to third parties for her own personal financial gain" unless he gave her money.

Michelle was granted a temporary restraining order by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge yesterday which bars Terrence from contacting her or going anywhere near her until the next court date.

She filed for divorce from the actor in February.
