(Cover) - EN Star Style - Thandie Newton thinks her family offer better fashion advice than a stylist would.

The 38-year-old actress is married to writer-and-director Ol Parker, and the couple have two daughters together; Ripley, who was born in 2000, and Nico, born in 2004.

The beautiful star always looks impeccable on the red carpet, and turns to her daughters for fashion tips as it is more enjoyable than getting serious with a stylist.

Thats one of the good things about not having a stylist. I just pick what I like. Its fun. If theres someone helping you, it becomes more of a big deal and takes more time. If its just me and my kids and my outfit its easier, she told the British edition of InStyle.

Thandies husband Ol also dishes out useful advice and she believes this is because of his creative talent. She says the moviemaker doesnt like clothes which are too overpowering.

Ol is brilliant. He bought me this Balenciaga jacket Im wearing today. I know just by the way he looks at me sometimes that I have to keep looking. He doesnt like it when the outfit is wearing me he likes me to shine. Because hes a director, he has a really good eye, she smiled. (C) Cover Media
