Thenmerku Paruva Kaatru to re-release in theatres
23rd May 2011
Filmmaker Shibu Isaac made his directorial debut with the film 'Thenmerku Paruva Kaatru'. Though the film was running with house-packed shows, it was removed from theatres as it was replaced by some of the big tickets released by producers with a political family background.
The film has won three awards for the categories of – Best Tamil Film, Best Actress and Best Lyrics. The filmmaker says, "I am happy that the committee members have honored my film but I was very disappointed with the way my film was treated in theatres as the most of the owners were forced to remove the film and release the ones with big banners" (political pressure).
Since the film has won such honors, the makers have decided to rerelease the film shortly in theatres and so will be other National award winning movies – 'Enthiran' and 'Aadukalam'.
