Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are apparently "doing great" following their split after five years of marriage.

The former Dawson's Creek actress filed for divorce from the Mission Impossible star in June requesting primary legal custody of their six-year-old Suri and they managed to come to an agreement on the dissolution of their union less than two weeks later.

But Adam Shankman, who directed Tom in Rock of Ages, told Ryan Seacrest that the duo is holding up well in light of the high-profile split.

"They are doing great," Adam said when asked how the former couple were coping.

"They actually love each other so much and believe in each other, and I love them both and I wish them both well."

Katie appears to have settled into life as a single mother in New York and is often seen taking Suri on day trips.

Meanwhile, Tom was seen taking a break from filming and went for lunch in Malibu, California over the weekend.
