(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tori Spelling had the "biggest shock" when her newborn baby turned out to be a girl.
The American star welcomed Hattie Margaret into the world on October 10. She already has Liam, four, and three-year-old Stella with her husband Dean McDermott and they were thrilled to become parents again.
The couple decided against discovering the sex of their newest arrival before the birth, although they were convinced they were having another boy.
"[I was] 110 per cent sure we were having a boy!" Tori laughed to Us Weekly magazine. "When the doctor held her up, he said, 'You guys were all wrong.' It was the biggest shock. I never thought girls would run this household. We outnumber the boys!"
Tori, 38, went into labour during the night, six days before she was due to have a caesarean section. Dean, 44, took her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and helped her through the process.
"I held his hand, and I thought I was going to crush it - I felt every bump and turn!" Tori explained. "I was, like, 'Oh, God, go slower.'"
Although Tori and Dean hadn't planned to extend their family, everyone is thrilled Hattie is now part of their lives.
"Knowing we were bringing a third life into the world just enhanced our relationship," she said. "The moment I had her, I looked at Dean and fell in love with him all over again." (C) Cover Media
