(Cover) - EN Showbiz - It has emerged that a female intruder was arrested after entering the home of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi last week.
The incident occurred early last Thursday morning, after the woman was caught trespassing on the high-security property in Beverly Hills, California, where talk show host Ellen and her actress wife Portia live.
The intruder did not make contact with Ellen or Portia, and both stars are said to be relieved by how swiftly their security team acted. The couples on-site security team detained the trespasser until the authorities arrived.
"We responded because of a radio call of a subject at the location and she was arrested for private person's arrest for trespassing," Lieutenant Michael Hill of the Beverly Hills Police Department told ET.
The woman is believed to still be in custody and is scheduled for a court appearance today.
Ellen and Portia were reportedly impressed with the way the police handled the situation.
Ellen and Portia appreciate the fast and effective response of BHPD officers," a statement from a representative explained.
According to Radar, Ellen purchased the two-house compound in 2007, and the luxury home is reportedly secured by a state-of-the-art protection system. (C) Cover Media
