(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Usher insists on having a massage after a live show, saying he is an athlete.

The R&B star is currently performing across the world with his OMG Tour. The shows have taken an enormous amount of work to put together and boast stunning stage sets and dance routines. Usher loves performing for his fans, but the gruelling shows often leave him exhausted. So to make sure he can relax once he leaves the stage, he goes to a special room where a massage therapist is ready to soothe his aching muscles.

I go into the massage room backstage after each show and this is kind of relaxation for me, he explained in an interview with British television show Daybreak. I am an athlete really, people dont realise how much goes into my performance. It is not just up on stage dancing and sweating, really I am a physical guy. So a massage is a must-have.

The spectacular shows are put together by a large crew, who spend many months on the road. Usher wants to make sure every person is happy and well-fed, so he provides a wide variety of food to satisfy every appetite.

He has joked he tried to avoid feeding the crew to save money, but his plan didnt go down well.

Everyone on the tour has to eat, its mandatory. I have tried not to feed them but that didnt work out either way for them or for me, he laughed. The one thing everyone on a tour will remember is how good or bad the food was.

They told me they would have fish and chips and they dont, I am really mad about this! Just kidding, if I make a request they will do whatever I want. (C) Cover Media
