(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Vera Farmiga loves to portray complicated women.

The 37-year-old is mostly known for her roles in films such as The Departed and Up in the Air. The actress appeared on screen alongside Keanu Reeves in romantic drama Henry's Crime recently, where she played the sort of character she loves. Vera believes her role in the film reflects her preferred acting style which sees her portraying emotionally deep people.

I love contradiction in the women that I play. Like in Henrys Crime, my character is one part fragility, one part strength, one part drama, one part comedienne, she told Total Film magazine.

She reveals she loves to play such roles as they allow her to portray three dimensional women who dominated films in the early 20th century.

She reminded me of the madcap heroines from the 30s, who could be as sexy as they were silly, she added. (C) Cover Media
