(Cover) - EN Star Style - When Victoria Beckham heard that she was nominated for a British Fashion award she thought it was a joke.

The 36-year-old British fashion designer and wife of soccer star David Beckham was put up for the title of Designer Brand of The Year at the British Fashion Awards in London on Tuesday, but lost out to Mulberry.

However, the former Spice Girl said that she was surprised even to be considered for the prize, so she was happy with that alone.

My highlight was being nominated. I mean when I found out Id been nominated, I thought it was a joke at first because Ive only been presenting for five seasons now so you know being up against a brand like Burberry- which has been going for so many years- was just such a big deal I mean I was completely, completely shocked, she revealed on a Rightster video posted on Telegraph.co.uk.

The fashionista also revealed that she has big dreams for her line, and confessed that she planned to leave a lasting mark on the industry in decades to come.

Victoria doesnt just want her brand to be a fleeting feature of the fashion scene, but a more timeless name that will still be sought after in 50 years.

It is because of this wish that she is very meticulous and a perfectionist in every decision she makes regarding her fashion line.

For me its about taking baby steps I dont want to rush anything I want to create a brand that is still really relevant in 20, 30, 40, 50 years time, she revealed. I have big dreams and to do that I have to do it properly. Im a control freak and I have to dot all the Is and cross all the Ts. (C) Cover Media
