After 'The Dirty Picture' , Vidya Balan has taken the nation by her storm once again. 

The actress who is sizzling in yet another red hot avatar in her first ever 'Lavani' dance number in the film 'Ferrari ki Sawaari' has grabbed a lot of eyeballs for her energetic performance. 

Though Vidya did the song as a special appearance, people are ruining the spirit of the number by calling it an 'item' song, a tag which is totally shunned by film's maker Vidhu Vinod Chopra. 

The veteran filmmaker urged people to not call it as an item number. He revealed how the song and Vidya were brought together. "There was a situation for a 'lavani number' .We got lavani dancers from Kolhapur. Vidya expressed a keen desire to do the number. She has been a part of our creative team since 'Parineeta'. That's how she became part of 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari'. If people choose to see it as an item song, then that's just a perception but for us it is a 'Lavani' dance number," said Vidhu.
