The tale of Bollywood stars and their belief in umpteen superstitions have been never ending. From Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar’s obsession for letter ‘K’ to Amitabh Bachchan’s rings to various stars adding and subtracting letters from their names, Bollywood has been saturated with these tales.

And now the latest addition to the list of superstitious Bollywood stars is Vidya Balan, who took the risk of postponing her film ‘Kahani’ by a few months. Apparently the director Sujoy Ghosh wanted to release the film in this month on the eve of Durga Pooja as the film also has a backdrop of the hugely celebrated festival, which would have made it easy to promote it during the festive eve. But the film being a female oriented story, having Vidya as the only protagonist, the highly acclaimed actress wanted to play safe. After the success of ‘No One Killed Jessica’ that released in January this year, Vidya believes that the month is lucky for her as it also happens to be her birth month. She asked the director to push the film’s release date to January and the director too decided to abide to her dictate.
