Actress Vidya Balan reportedly had to cancel her birthday celebration on January 1, 2016 as well as her New Year plans as recently while boarding a flight from Abu Dhabi, the actress started experiencing excruciating back pains.

Reportedly the pain was so serious that the parademics had to be summoned immediately and eventually after returning to Mumbai, Vidya was hospitalised here at Hinduja hospital.

Doctors suspect a possibility of kidney stone but confirmed that she will be discharged soon. Vidya's spokesperson said, "Vidya is currently in expert hands at Hinduja hospital and is well on her way to recovery."
