Aamir Khan is always known to do different kind of things. He brings variation in the cinema he chooses and the work he does. The actor is socially active and is even the face of various campaigns organised by the Government of India. His TV show 'Satyamev Jayate' won accolades during its first season and now the actor is all set to launch the next season of the show. For the promotions of the same, the actor has launched a music video featuring himself with many celebs.
The video is titled as 'Toofan Aala'- Satyamev Jayate Water Cup Anthem which is an initiative by Aamir Khan's Paani Foundation and deciphers the story of drought prone regions in the state of Maharshtra. Aamir has launched a Water Cup campaign for the conservation of rainwater and using it for different purposes to aim a drought-free Maharashtra.
This video is a replica of the work that is done so far and the work which will be continued in the near future. Interestingly Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao has crooned for the first time and that too in Marathi. Kiran has lend her voice for the song along with Ajay Gogawale.
'Sairat' director Nagraj Manjule has directed the music video. Aamir Khan is also seen in the video along with Fatima Sana Shaikh, singers Ajay Gogawale and Atul Gogawale, Nagraj Manjule, Saie Tamhankar, 'Sairat' fame Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru and many more actors from the Marathi film fraternity.
The Satyamev Jayate Water Cup 2017 competition will take place between 8th April and 22nd May 2017. Top three villages will get cash prizes of Rs. 50 lakh, Rs. 30 lakh and Rs. 20 lakh respectively. In addition, the top village from each taluka will get a Rs.10 lakh cash prize.
