Watch how Coldplay grooved on some desi numbers

The highlight of the year 2016 is that Mumbai witnessed one of the most prestigious event of the whole wide world in the form of the Global Citizen Festival India 2016. Biggies from almost every industry like Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan and many B-town celebs talked about global and social issues as well as entertained the people. Coldplay was the biggest attraction of the festival as the band was performing first time in India for almost 2 hours. While the lead singer and guitarist Chris Martin was in India 3 days prior to the event, his band members joined him on the day of the event.

Many celebrities like Parineeti Chopra, Ayushmann Khurrana and Shraddha Kapoor grooved on the songs played by the band. Even A. R. Rahman joined Chris for one of the songs. Amidst all the sounds of music and cheering from the crowd it came as a proud moment for all the Indians when Chris sang 'Channa Mereya' and 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' along with A. R. Rahman.

The cheering from the crowd was even more louder when Chris waved the Indian flag. He also tagged the night as one of the most amazing nights of his life. He tweeted on his Twitter handle, "India, thank you for one of the greatest nights of our lives @arrahman #MaaTujheSalaam #GlobalCitizenIndia @glblctznIN."

The Global Citizen Festival India ended on a happy note and will be written in golden words in the Indian history.
