A lot is cooking over the next venture of Venkat Prabhu. There were rumours that he will direct Suriya. But sources say now that it might either be Karthi or Suriya. And whoever be the hero of the project, it will be produced by K E Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green.

Says Gnanavel, 'Yes, we have signed up Venkat Prabhu for a film project. Whether it will be with Suriya or Karthi has not yet been decided. It may also be a Telugu film with an established Telugu actor.' It is expected that an official announcement would be made soon.

The success of Mankatha has catapulted Venkat Prabhu into the hallowed circle of successful film directors. With his new-found celebrity status, Venkat Prabhu is in demand and many leading stars of Kollywood would want to work with him. According to sources, he met Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, a producer of merit, and signed on the dotted line.

Meanwhile, there are also rumours that Venkat Prabhu's next film would be with Ajith again, as the 'Ultimate Star' of Tamil cinema is highly impressed with the director and with the success of his 50th movie Mankatha.
