(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Will Ferrell is happiest when he's "hanging out with the kids".
The funnyman is well known for his larger-than-life comedy characters such as Ron Burgundy and Jacobim Mugatu.
However, the actor admits he is most comfortable when simply enjoying family life.
"I'm probably happiest just hanging out with the kids and getting to just doing normal things," the actor told Cover Media. "That's exciting for me."
Will has three sons, Magnus, seven, Mattias, four, and 20-month-old Axel with wife Viveca Paulin. The actor met Swedish actress Viveca in an acting class in 1995 and married her five years later.
The three boys have yet to express any interest in following in their father's footsteps, but at a young age Will knew he wanted to be in comedy.
He revealed that watching Saturday Night Live inspired him when he was younger.
"As a kid [I loved] watching the old Saturday Night Live with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd and that original cast," he smiled. "I thought, That looks like something that would be really fun to do.' That began my kind of quest to get into comedy."
Will was lucky enough to realise his dream after he joined a Los Angeles theatre club called The Groundlings. It was here that Will began doing sketch comedy and found his way into Hollywood.
"[Groundlings] has this reputation in Los Angeles as being a great launching pad for a lot of actors and for a lot of past members of Saturday Night Live," Will explained. "I was actually seen there and offered an audition for Saturday Night Live, and that was kind of my beginning." (C) Cover Media
