The Black Eyed Peas star prides himself on the rocking stage shows he and bandmates Fergie, Taboo and apl.de.ap put on. The group have released six records meaning they have a lot of tracks to choose from when they play live, but their vast catalogue also causes will.i.am some problems.

He was recently spotted using his mobile phone while performing Don't Stop the Party on a French TV show, and has admitted it's because he has problems with some lyrics.

"I've got so many things in my head, all the lyrics of all the songs we've written, that sometimes I don't remember all the words! So for this song I wrote them all down on my phone, because it's the first time we've played it on TV and we don't have a prompter," he laughed.

It's not the first time will.i.am has discussed the group's lyrics. Earlier this year he admitted he likes having so many hits as it means he can stop performing ones he is bored of such as 2005's My Humps.

"For a while, [we did] My Humps and then it got to the point where we didn't want to play My Humps no more. You know, 'cause, 'I met a girl down at the disco,' I just didn't want to say that no more, lyrically," he explained.

"It wasn't like my best lyrically, but it was fun. It wasn't lyrical miracles, but the beat was rocking, so we throw the beat in there and just let the beat linger." (C) Cover Media
