Will.i.am lands creative Intel role

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Will.i.am has been named director of creativity at technology company Intel.

The 35-year-old Black Eyed Peas frontman is set to make music for the Californian-based company, well known as a manufacturer of processors, the technology found in computers.

Will.i.ams role at the company is to find "new ways to communicate, create and entertain", and according to BBC Newsbeat he has already started making music for the organisation.

The musician is thrilled to be working for the company, although his specific role has not yet been decided on. According to the star, working with the technology experts will help him become more creative and hone his technological skills when it comes to producing and creating records.

"Nearly everything I do involves processors and computers," he explained.

"Teaming up with the scientists, researchers and computer programmers is going to be amazing."

Deborah Conrad, Intel vice president and chief marketing officer, thinks the rapper will bring plenty of fresh ideas in his new role. The stars masterful use of modern advancements is also admired.

"We're thrilled to tap into the limitless creativity Will.i.am brings to the table," she explained.
