16th May 2018

Akshay Kumar's upcoming film under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions titled 'Kesari' was conducting its shooting procedure in an open location at Wai which caused an unfortunate fire on the sets causing one crew member a minor injury and a damage worth 8 cr due to the destructive fire that caught the sets up.

However, it was smart to opt a safe Insurance policy which indeed Karan Johar choose before starting the shoot and the matter has been investigated by the insurance officials and the report has been submitted for the same. A source close to the investigation stated that the damage caused was worth Rs. 8 crores and it will be imbursed as per the Insurance policy. A smart precautionary by KJo has saved them from the threat.

It seems that except the 10-day shoot that suffered due to fire outbreak, the rest of the film is said to be on schedule soon. In fact, another schedule outside the city is being planned in Himachal Pradesh, in a location called Spiti.

Kesari also stars Parineeti Chopra as the leading lady and is slated to release on March 22, 2019, on the occasion of Holi. Helmed by Anurag Singh, the film's plot is based on the much talked about 1857 Battle of Sargarahi and features Akshay in the lead role of Havildar Singh who led the Indian-British Army during the war.
