Megastar Amitabh Bachchan always comes forward to support for social causes. His contribution to the society is very immense, be it in cinema or any social cause. Currently he is the face of many social issues. Now the actor has showed his support for gender equality and that too in a unique way.

He posted a picture on his Twitter handle holding a placard which says, "When I die, the assets I shall leave behind, shall be shared equally between my daughter and my son #genderequality #WeAreEqual." He captioned the image as, "#WeAreEqual .. and #genderequality … the picture says it all !!"

We are still living in a traditional India where on the death of the father his assets are transferred in the name of his son leaving the daughters helpless and reluctant. Mr. Bachchan's this move will surely start a new thinking in the society and no immediate action, but at least discussions need to be started regarding gender equality.
