Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's first look from their upcoming film 'Sui Dhaaga' is out and they both compliment each other in their small town desi avatar from the late 90's. She is playing a stay-back home lady named Mamta, a simplest of the woman from rural place dressed up in a simple saree paired with bangles and a mustard-yellow coloured sweater. Whereas Varun plays a young man, Mauji a typical common man from the vintage era with a dense moustached look. Both of them are smiling candidly in their first look photo.

Varun Dhawan took the moment and shared their first look picture on his official Instagram handle and captioned it, ''EXCLUSIVE-मौजी और ममता से मिलिए २८ सितम्बर को| #madeinindia🇮🇳 #SuiDhaagaFirstLook #SuiDhaaga @yrf @SuiDhaagaFilm @anushkasharma 28th sept 2018 directed by @sharatkatariya."

Anushka posted another photo with the caption, "ममता और मौजी आ रहे है २८ सितम्बर को | #SuiDhaagaFirstLook." 

Talking about their role in the film, Anushka plays an embroiderer whereas Varun plays a tailor by profession and looks like the film's subject promotes the campaign of 'Make In India'. Helmed by 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' director Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma under Yash Raj Films banner, 'Sui Dhaaga' is set to hit the theatres on September 28.
