Rajinikanth is on roll after delivering a mega blockbuster '2.0' now he will star in Karthik Subbaraj directorial 'Petta' along with acclaimed south star Vijay Sethupathi and the 'Sacred Games' actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. After revealing the first look poster of Rajinikanth and Sethupathi, the makers now revealed the first look character poster of Siddiqui in as Singaar Singh.

Nawaz is giving an intense stare sideways in this character poster, well combed and sporting spectacles. This will be Siddiqui's Tamil debut film down south, which also happens to be the actor's first collaboration with Rajinikanth. Nawazuddin also shared his look from the film on social media and wrote: "First look of Singaar Singh in Petta." 

Expected to release next year it is majorly shot in Darjeeling and Dehradun. The team has currently geared up to wrap up the final schedule of the film. Meanwhile, the first single, 'Marana Mass', from Petta was released on Monday.

On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was last seen in Nandita Das' 'Manto', where the actor played the role of writer Saadat Hasan Manto. He is also shooting for 'Motichoor Chaknachoor', also starring Athiya Shetty. Petta is scheduled to release on Pongal 2019.
