This film made headlines being one of the controversial films when in November it's screening at the International Film Festival of India was cancelled by the I&B ministry. Finally, good news for the director Ravi Jadhav as his Marathi movie 'Nude' is now cleared by the (CBFC) Central Board of Film Certification with an 'A' certificate.

Surprisingly, the film was passed without any modification or cuts. Jadhav announced the good news on his official Facebook page. He also mentioned that the film received a standing ovation from the jury that included the 'Tumhari Sulu' actress Vidya Balan.

Sharing the film's new poster on social media the director said, "Our film Nude received an 'A' certificate without any cuts!!! The entire CBFC special jury team headed by Mrs Vidya Balan gave us a standing ovation!!! Thank you, everyone for your kind support."

The film features Kalyanee Mulay in the lead role, it is the story of a woman who unwantedly becomes a nude model in an art school. It is the circumstances that made her choose this path. The film also features veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah who plays the role of an artist.

Nude officially participated last year in IFFI after it was dropped on the intervention of the Union Information and Broadcasting (I&B) ministry from the list of films chosen for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Along with Nude, Malayalam movie S Durga, which was earlier titled Sexy Durga, was also dropped from the festival.
