Looks like the wedding season has just begun, after Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Kapil Sharma announced his wedding with longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath. Following this news one more wedding news has hit the corner.
Now it is the TV actress Shweta Basu Prasad who is set to marry. She got earlier engaged in June this year and now she is ready to tie the knot with her director beau Rohit Mittal on December 13. A source close to the actress stated that the wedding will be conducted in Bengali and Marwadi rituals in Pune; with a reception in Mumbai.
Shweta was hailed for her role in Vishal Bhardwaj's 2002 horror film 'Makdee'. She then went on to do prominent roles in films (Iqbal, Vaah!! Life Ho Toh Aisi and other Telugu and Tamil films) and on television in serials like Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Karishma Ka Karishma.
The actress was mired in a controversy in 2014 when she was caught in a high-profile prostitution racket in Hyderabad and was sent to rehab for 6 months. Later, charges against her were dropped. In 2016, Shweta made her television comeback in the titular role in Star Plus' Chandranandini, opposite Rajat Tokas.
