The actress turns 25 today and she certainly has a lot to celebrate.

Hilary Duff shot to fame as a teenager in 2001 playing the title role in the Disney Channel's comedy Lizzie McGuire, and went on to build a successful movie and singing career.

Duff has since proceeds with hits like Agent Cody Banks, A Cinderella Story, and Material Girls. She furthermore played small parts in shows including Gossip Girl and Community, but she has now signed a deal which will see her produce and star in her own comedy.

Widening her territory into various other industries, Duff has turned her hand to fashion with the launch of her own clothing lines Stuff by Hilary Duff and Femme for DKNY Jeans in addition to being signed with IMG Models and releasing two exclusive perfume collections with Elizabeth Arden. In addition to writing a series of young adult novels, comprising Elixir (2010) and Devoted (2011), she has also contributed to several humanitarian causes.

Unlike other child star, Duff has attracted a positive great deal of publicity, particularly surrounding her personal life. The blonde beauty is married to hockey star Mike Comrie, with whom she had one child luca.
